Yea, Nay, Or Eh? The Perilous Journey From Catwalk To Carpet

Last night in London, the ElleStyle Awards saw red carpet debuts—the first real-world appearance we’ve seen of The Row Fall 2010, on Carey Mulligan—and the dusting-off of the best of Spring. In the latter category falls Daisy Lowe’s Miu Miu ensemble, plucked from Mrs. Prada’s Spring 2010 show. At an event where many attendees went demure (Alexa Chung’s sweet Chanel set the tone), Daisy’s kicky separates were a welcome change of pace. She’s got pluck in spades, but even so, we think the midriff-baring top, skirt, and cardigan felt a little haphazard and underdressed, which the outfit didn’t at the label’s show.
